I've been having the same issue.
On ii differerent computers, and only while I am in the middle of composing an email.
This is a new consequence for me every bit I've only had it happen now twice in the last week.
I use Chrome.

To answer your questions:
Yes, I accept only received the error message while composing an e-mail. It doesn't occur on every electronic mail I write but it has happened at present about 5 or 6 times in less than a week's fourth dimension. I normally write anywhere from 5-10 emails a day so this is not a frequent occurrence but one that has never happened before.
I take never used Internet Explorer or any other browser on my laptop merely Chrome. This is the simply time I have ever had this outcome. So I can't say if this happens on Internet Explorer simply know information technology occurs on Chrome.
Lastly, I very rarely utilise my Android device to write emails and can say for certain that this has only happened when using my laptop. My laptop is well-nigh a year old and has worked well without ever having any bug. I haven't had this error any other time. Only with the past week which is why I initially thought information technology may be a glitch with Outlook.com since it has occured just afterward the contempo update.

Same here. It's really annoying. I am starting to compose long emails in Discussion. Total BS. I like the Outlook.com's UI, simply it has so many annoying quirks (similar it'due south contacts issues), I may simply become to Gmail, if just they would better their GUI.

I use net explorer and accept the same issue. Am rural and utilise email a lot for maybe longer periods. The message simply pops up when composing emails not when reading or quick replies.
Getting tired of it now, has there been a fix to session timing out?
Your help appreciated.

I employ Safari. Only started having this problem center of last year and it is always when composing emails. It seems that sometimes Outlook saves a draft then I only loose a the terminate of the electronic mail but other times it saves nothing then I take to retype the whole affair which is annoying if it is a long email.
I also don't similar the way in the Contacts addresses it insists on putting the Post code earlier the county. That isn't the way it is washed in the United kingdom so if I copy and paste the address I have to bandy bits around.
Anyone grade Microsoft able to assist? Thanks.

Happens when composing emails.
Started happening since replacing my PC with ane on Windows 10 - never happened on my old Windows 7 PC. Have a feeling information technology may be related to Windows 10.
Conspicuously non a "time-out" event every bit it has no links to inactivity;
- I happens within a infinitesimal or a few minutes from starting to compose an email (so the screen was only just refreshed.)
- It does not happen when leaving the browser un-used for a few hours.
VERY Abrasive - please can you fix this.

When are y'all going to fix this? I'm having the aforementioned effect too, use Chrome and information technology'due south simply when composing email. I switched to Outlook from Yahoo because Yahoo has become really outdated and not very secure. Just this is very annoying, and you don't seem to be fixing it (information technology's been six months). Why is that?

I'm getting it on my Windows seven PC, so it'southward not Windows 10-specific. It'southward only started happening to me in the terminal couple of days, while writing longish emails, simply in the by I've written far longer ones with no problems. I utilise Chrome.
